At The 2008 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® a survey of the statistic relating to diversity in those companies was presented. In his speech for chief diversity officers of large US companies in the US DiversityInc Partner and Cofounder Luke Visconti gives his interpretation of Martin Luther King's famous line "the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice" . He applies this rule to the Tibetan protests during the Olympic games which made the companies that sponsored these games nervous. It's an interesting idea because it underlines the importance of promoting diversity in the workplace and the fact that all companies are competing globaly. This idea is especially interesting in the current context of the economic crisis, which seems to deepen. Also in the Netherlands today the statistics show a very sharp downturn.
