Yet another initiative on the front of democratisation. I guess it's a hot subject. What I have seen in recent years is that the internet has had impact on elections in the US. The lessons that are learned in business should be applied elsewhere too. Do we see any lessons learned in business applied to politics? Does this initiative qualify as innovative?
What I would like european politicians to acknowledge is the fact that democratisation is a context for integration of immigrants here in Europe. But most
politicians still think that they can separate the way they treat immigrants in the Netherlands and the way they talk about democratisation abroad. That's a very naive calculation. I am getting more and more convinced that migration and democratisation are linked.
